When the Germans commissioned the VW Beetle in 1934, they designed it to be a utilitarian vehicle for the people, and not to appeal to hippies, polo-necked liberals, or surfers. The beetle collected many nicknames around the world, ''el huevito'' in Cuba, ''coccinelle'' in France and "vocho" in Mexico. On October 23, 1967, production was moved to Mexico and the first Volkswagen Beetle rolled off an assembly line in the Puebla plant. On July 30th, 2003, the final Beetle rolled off the Puebla assembly line.

Our S.M.A.S.H.ed Vochito is a variant of our original tribute to the Mexican/German partnership that made this car a staple of Mexican culture. Also, much like the Vochito, this beer is a single malt and single hop version of an Altbier which makes it a beer that will not appeal to hippies, polo-necked liberals, or surfers. All Vienna Malt and Magnum Hops give this beer a smooth drinkability.
